Opening-XX-K7 (English version)

  文:交通大學六子棋研究小組(台灣)

situation:black win (NCTU6)

Recently, noticed by our dear Connect6 players, we found this new interesting opening XX-K7, played in LG (www.littlegolem.net).

This is another confusing move. Since White plays too far away, Black wins.

Initially, we found the winning move at Joseki1078. Then, some anonymous players posted another winning move at Joseki1081. Recently, Zhi-Zhe Huang (Carnot) and Wen-Jing Hsu (give-me-six) suggested Joseki1090. We finally verify that it is also a winning move.

Joseki1078:Winning Move I by Black

situation:black win (NCTU6)

This is the first winning move that we found.

situation:black win (NCTU6)

One Live3 + 2 Live2 makes White have no chance to defend.

situation:Unclear Case

White may be able to defend in such a case. However, we did not take a closer look at this case.

Joseki1081:Winning Move II by Black

situation:black win (NCTU6)

This is a common move that most players would propose. But, the first correct sequence was proposed by a anonymous player in Baidu BBS.

Best Defense by W  :

situation:black win (NCTU6)
This is the best defense by White. If Black is careless, White may block and even win.

後續變化一:黑的必勝下法

situation:black win (NCTU6)

後續變化二:Black Fails

situation:black win (NCTU6)

Black 9 is slow. White 10 should be able to defend.

白的另一強防 :

後續變化一:Simpliest Win by Black

situation:black win (NCTU6)

This is the simpliest way to win by Black.

後續變化二:Still Black Wins

situation:black win (NCTU6)

Although Black spends one more move, Black still wins.

後續變化三:Sophisticated subsequent moves

situation:black win (NCTU6)

In this diagram, Black 7 is one line lower. This makes White 8 has chance to block at the good position in the upper side. Thus, White 12 can block at the left.

Although the subsequent moves are still sophisticated, we can say this fails when compared with Joseki1086 and Joseki1087.

 後續變化四:Still Unclear

situation:black win (NCTU6)

Even if Black 9 changes position, White still can block.
