Short-film Making Contest: Now Opening To All Ages Worldwide!

 

DDYS will be opening the Buddhist Short-Film Making Contest to all ages worldwide！ Don’t hesitate anymore, start making your film now! We look forward to receive your submissions before 12/7/2008. Please refer to our rules and regulations for further details.

ABOUT THE SHORT FILM MAKING CONTEST

Dharma Drum Youth Singapore of Dharma Drum Singapore is organizing its first ever Buddhist Film Appreciation & Short Film Making Contest from February 2008 to July 2008.

The objectives of the contest are as follows:
1) To foster communication on Buddhist ideas and propagate Dharma Drum Youth's vision, objective and mission to the widest possible cross section of society.
2) To provide educational, comprehensive, accessible resources and practical skills to those who are interested in filming, video clip/short film making and Buddhist film making.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR SHORT FILM MAKING CONTEST

1. Registration is open to all Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans of all ages.

2. Contesting films should be made on the theme of Buddhism, in either English or Mandarin only.

3. Video must be original and must not have been submitted before for any other purposes.

4. Video with contents that promote racism, bigotry, hatred or harm of any kind against any group or individual will be disqualified.

Registration is free. To register for the Movie Appreciation, please email ddysmail@gmail.com with the subject of 'Buddhist Movies Appreciation DDYS Registration', or fill up the Dharma Drum Singapore activities registration form and mail to Dharma Drum Singapore. Seat are limited and registration are on a first come first basis.

Kindly note that artworks submitted for this contest are not limited to this particular style and genre. As long as the artworks abide to the "Rules and Regulations", contestants are encouraged to make short films in all shapes and tastes! If you have come across any good short film (buddhism-themed), you are welcome to share with us too.
