其實大家來這裡都是為了夢幻美酒而來
!


擔任先發的是愛丁頓集團的
John Ramsay, 他已經退休, 但是還是集團顧問, 知道他的人也許不多, 但是台灣人對於他的退休前的作品一定很熟悉, 那就是過去在台灣銷售可怕的麥卡倫.  

Highland Park 1967 (48%, OB, WIP sample, will be bottled in Dec. 2007 as 40yo specially edition)

90 points. Brown, very oil, smoky. Some citrus and tropical fruit. Typical old HP. Rich in nose, enjoyable. Straight is much better, yet dilute help a little bit in finish. 也須喝太多老的Duncan Tayler裝瓶HP, 雖然這是一支很棒的酒 但是就是讓我少了些感動!有趣的觀察是John Ramsay選擇這支酒似乎有點呼應集團對於HP的企圖心! 


接下來的是
Nikka佐藤茂生, 他也已經自Nikka退休, 一樣也還是顧問, 選擇的當然是他們最重要的余市.

Yoichi 1986 (55%, OB, will be bottled in 2007 成人式 as 20yo)

89 points, Brown orange. Lots of orange sweet. With very clear fine peat. This one is very special as it use new white oak cask.(strange that we see lot’s of this cask release recently.) dry yet sweet finish. Lingering well. I like the finish best, nosing is kind of boring.  這支酒絶對是支好的余市, 但是奇怪的也是讓人少些感動


下一位是Wild Turkey的Jimmy Russell, 他的調酒大師工作即將在明年由他兒子接手, 預計交棒的時候將推出這款第一次以Russell家族命名的波本威士忌.

Wild Turkey Russell's Reserve Barrel 10yo (45%, OB)
81 points, brown color, clear, clear bourbon nose, rich and fruity. hint of smoke. Leather, chocolate, nut and cream. Not as powerful as normal bourbon. finined long and good. lingering.  感覺不太像波本, Jimmy Russell可能想找出比較成熟而繚繞的波本威士忌, 但是這樣似乎少了原本應有的一些蠻荒力道感!


隨後出場的是 Collin Scott, 他是Chivas的調酒大師, 拿出來的居然是100 casks 2! 天啊! 這支酒有那麼好賣嗎? 100桶大約應該有三萬支酒! 亞洲市場果然是高級酒最喜歡的地方.

75 points. brown color, beautiful citrus, some spice note. Still sense caramel. Very common palate, what can I say, it just a blend. 真的被比下去了, 可憐而認真做宣傳的調酒師.


Billy Leighton 是現任Irish Distillers的總調酒師, 被他們戲稱為是評審團中的嬰兒, 但是也已進入酒界三十年之久. 拿出來的正是罕見的Jameson 18yo, 我記得他似乎有說這是一支Sherry finish, 但是忘記抄下來, 所以不是很確定, 有查到資料後再做補充.

86 points. brown, lots of orange, toffee, creaming and leather, light in body. sweet/candy. Finish well but still very sweet. Very nice palate and finish, not a typical Jameson.  這支酒其實還不錯,只是不太像愛爾蘭威士忌, 陪我去的中村似乎最不喜歡這支.


輿水精一拿出來的居然就是我們台灣品酒會時喝過的山崎1986日本橡木桶, 大家真是有口福啊!

Yamazaki 1986 (58.3%, WIP sample, Japanese Oak cask, no intention for bottling)
89 points. similar to the one tasted in Taiwan. But feel much better, maybe it's because of this particular event! 


最後壓軸的就是我這次最想見到的大師David Stewart. 他的得意作品當然就是他擔任調酒大師三十年的紀念作品Balvenie 30yo

91 points. Still very enjoyable, complex nose, silky palate, long finish.  The best among today's selection.  時隔一年半再次品飲這支酒, 感覺比上次更棒, 非常繚繞的口感, 我跟中村都同意這是今天最棒的一支酒!


會後就是大合照, 然後是party time, 大家在隔壁的房間聊天喝酒, 這些夢幻美酒都無限制供應! Kingfisher回來之後看照片真的笑到不行, 男生還是別穿裙子的好!
